Originally, Oregon Mounted Shooting Association (OMSA) was the Yamhill County Mounted Shooters. In 2006, we revised our name to OMSA, as the club had expanded to several additional counties: Tillamook, Washington, Columbia, Clackamas and Multnomah.
While the name has changed, the devotion promoting the sport has not changed. We have been seen from North Bend to Troutdale giving clinics and exhibitions. We have even ventured into Southwest Washington helping our neighbors promote the sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting. If you would like a clinic, an exhibition or need help getting your own club going, please see our contact page. We look forward to bringing one of the most challenging equine sports to you!!! OMSA is excited to host the 2018 Oregon State Shoot and the North Pacific Regional Shoot at the BRN4D Arena in Oregon City on August 17-19, 2018.
